Ingredients
  

For the Bread

  • 8 slices Ciabattabrot or Baguette
  • 1 clove Garlic peeled
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil extra virgin

For the Topping

  • 400 g Tomatoes diced
  • 10 leaves Basil
  • 1 clove Garlic peeled
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Dice the tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Peel and press one garlic clove into the tomato mixture. Chop the basil and mix it in. Season the tomato salad with salt and pepper and let it sit.
  • Slice the bread. Toast the slices for 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 200°C. Press the second garlic clove into a small bowl and mix with olive oil. Brush the toasted bread with this mixture.
  • Drain the tomato salad to avoid excess liquid that would make the bread soggy. Distribute the tomato mixture on the toasted bread slices.

Notes

Best served fresh as an appetizer.
