Ingredients
  

Fresh Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh cranberries (one 12 oz. bag)
  • ½ pomegranate (arils removed)
  • 3 green onions (rough chopped)
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno (seeded and rough chopped)

Flavorings

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • teaspoon salt

Cream Cheese

  • 2 packages cream cheese (8 oz. each, softened)

Serving Option

  • crackers or chips (for serving, we like Wheat Thins)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Place cranberries in a food processor. Pulse until rough chopped.
  • Add in green onions, jalapeno, cilantro, cumin, lemon juice, sugar, and salt. Pulse until all ingredients are chopped finely into a relish-like consistency.
  • Remove from food processor and with a spoon, mix in pomegranates. Place mixture into fridge for 4 hours, up to overnight, for the flavors to come together.
  • To serve, spread softened cream cheese into a pie dish or platter with edges. Pour cranberry mixture over the softened cream cheese. Serve with crackers or chips.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the dip to chill for a few hours or overnight.
