  • 2 pounds pork belly cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped (for garnish)

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, and honey. Mix well until smooth.
  • Marinate the Pork: Place the pork belly pieces in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring all pieces are coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
  • Arrange the Pork: Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the pork belly pieces on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Bake the Pork: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, turning the pieces halfway through cooking. The pork should be golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  • Glaze and Broil: Brush the remaining marinade over the pork bites and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning. This will create a caramelized glaze.
  • Garnish: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
  • Serve: Transfer the pork belly bites to a serving platter and enjoy!
